in this and other southern states Planting at flax on a relatively extensive scale was begun in Georgia about two jears ago as a soil erosion control measure but tests showed the fiber produced could be worked into good linens Professor Harry Vaughan director of the state experiment station at Tech submitted to Chancellor Sanford exhibits on the process developed for working the flax into cloth In cluded among various forms of the material that have been de veloped is a suiting Vaughan said was highly wrinkle resistant innrat to ordinary linen suits Vaughan said a pound of flax ready to he spun
